Create a storytelling notebook that focuses on crafting a narrative through images, complemented by select cut-out texts. You can begin with your own photographs or magazine clippings.

This project is not a comic strip or an illustrated novel; instead, it consists of a series of pages organized to unfold a story. While black and white will dominate, the occasional use of a second color can help establish a cohesive theme. The images should be viewed collectively and sequentially, forming a visual narrative that is ultimately bound together like a notebook.

Create a ‘Land Art’ notebook using natural materials such as leaves, moss, twigs, pebbles, and pieces of wood. You’ll explore a variety of techniques, including soaking, hammering plants to extract their juices with iron oxide, painting over photocopies, making stencils, tracing with carbon paper, leaf printing, monotyping, and using tissue paper with wallpaper paste, along with many other engaging and educational exercises.

Additionally, you can choose to create a handmade bound notebook. While ready-made notebooks are available, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to craft and bind your own. Various binding techniques will be covered, including Japanese stitching, accordion stitching, criss-cross stitching, Coptic stitching, as well as using staples and clips.
